Why you should visit Orlando

Orlando isn’t just a destination, it’s a place where imagination comes to life. Whilst it is ultimately known for its world-famous theme parks like Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort, the city offers unforgettable adventures for travellers of all ages.

But beyond the thrills and the fairy tales, you’ll find a vibrant mix of natural beauty, exciting attractions, and top-notch dining and shopping. Whether you’re chasing rollercoasters and rides, relaxing by a pool, or exploring hidden gems, Orlando blends sunshine, magic, and memories in a way that keeps visitors coming back time and time again.

Are you ready to get started? It all starts with creating your very own Florida Pinboard in the Pogo travel app!

Where to stay in Orlando

Make sure you are centrally located to all of the Disney action and book a stay at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Orlando at FLAMINGO CROSSINGS Town Center-Western Entrance. It’s less than 1.5km from Disney and there’s even an on-site Disney Planning Centre where you can make all your Disney dreams come true!

There’s a multi-purpose sports practice field, a swimming pool and a great restaurant called Flamingo’s!

We found a King Suite in September for just £590 for a week’s stay with breakfast included and we even found flights from London for just £324 per person which we think is pretty good!

TOP TRAVEL TIPS

Here are our top three travel tips when planning a trip to Orlando:

  1. The early booker captures the best deals! The most budget-friendly Disney resort rooms tend to disappear fast—but don’t let the lower price tag fool you.

These standard rooms come with all the magical perks of Disney’s top-tier hotels, including free resort transport to all four theme parks and a head start on booking those must-have dining reservations. The sooner you book, the faster your fairytale begins!

  2. Use Pogo Magic to plan your days - Squeeze every drop of magic from your day by arriving early and plotting out what you want to do. Why not consider arriving early and then ticking off the non-theme park stuff during the afternoon and heading back to the parks in the evening. The theme park crowds tend to thin out when families with little ones head home or people break for dinner—and during the evening fireworks, popular rides often have much shorter wait times.

  3. When it comes to dining, a little planning goes a long way. Reserve restaurants ahead of time to avoid disappointment, and Pogo to plot in all the restaurants you want to check out whilst visiting Orlando. Our top tip -if you're treating the family to a character meal with Mickey and friends, opt for breakfast instead of dinner—it’s just as magical, but much easier on the wallet and makes for a great start to the day!
