TOP TRAVEL TIPS
Here are our top three travel tips when planning a trip to Berlin:
Berlin is a sprawling city, so it’s definitely helpful to plan your trip in advance and group your activities by location to minimise travel time. Use the ‘See & Do’ section on your Berlin pinboard to plot out what you want to see and use your Pogo Plus travel itinerary to help you plan each day you are in Berlin according to the weather, how busy each attraction gets and of course - the weather!
You can visit Berlin at any time of the year, but at certain times it will be busier than others such as during Oktoberfest and if there are any huge sports events taking place. If you want to avoid the crowds and save money, consider visiting Berlin in early spring. If you are a fan of Christmas, why not book your Germany trip close to Christmas as December is a magical time to visit Berlin's famous Christmas markets!
You can’t visit Berlin without trying its famous sausages! If you love your sausages with a touch of spice, then be sure to add trying currywurst to your unmissable Berlin things to do list. It’s fried pork sausage topped with a curry-spiced ketchup. Head on over to Curry 36, one of the best restaurants serving up the best of the ‘wurst’ or get it from a street kiosk which can be found throughout the city.
